Ring finger measuring tool

You don't have to ruin asurprise proposal by asking your partner their ring size. Find an insidersource who might have the scoop on what ring size she wears. A mom, best friendor sibling may know, or can work their magic to find out their ring size withoutthem suspecting a thing.

If so,wait for her to remove it and secretly take it to a jeweler to be sized. If sheonly takes it off to work out or shower and you have limited access to thering, buy a bar of soap and press the ring in to make a mold. Your jewelershould be able to use the markings to identify the correct ring size. If your partner literally onlytakes off their rings to lotion their hands for five seconds, slip the ring on yourfinger and note exactly where it fits on your finger.

Using the various ringsize charts and sizers, you or a jeweler should be able to replicate the fit. And when all else fails,go for a larger ring size; it's easier to resize a ring smaller than it is to gobigger. Main Menu. Find a Couple. Log In. Sign Up. Back to Main Menu. Planning Tools. You can easily measure the ring size at the store - either by using the actual ring finger that will be wearing the piece or by giving the staff a sample ring with the right size. Of course, that's no longer an option these days. Buying goods online is the norm, including fine jewelry pieces like rings. Which makes things a tad more complicated. You can't test the ring size personally. You also can't give a sample ring online.

But if you don't want to end up with a beautiful diamond ring that doesn't fit right, then how do you measure ring size online? Well, there are two options open to you - doing the measuring yourself or using a ring size chart. Learning how to measure ring size is pretty easy. You can make your own DIY ring sizer using floss or string. If you don't have any of those, you can even use paper. Wrap the floss, string, or paper around the base of your ring finger. Use a pen to mark the point where the material first overlaps.

Straighten out the string or paper and measure the length in millimeters using a ruler. This is the circumference of your finger. Pro Tip: Measure your finger twice, thrice, or more if you prefer to ensure accuracy.

If you're not sure about using a piece of string or paper to determine your ring size and want to ensure accuracy, then you should use a ring sizer tool. Because many purchases now occur online, it's important to us that our customers have the tools they need to make the right choice.

For that reason, we offer a downloadable ring sizer that you can print and use to find out what size you should get. This tool features a gradient of ring sizes which can give you a more accurate measure of your finger. If you choose to download the sizing tool, make sure that your print out is the correct size. Then, cut out the sizing tool. Starting with the flat end, wrap the tool around the widest part of your finger which is the knuckle.

Keep wrapping the tool around your finger until the fit is snug. Look at where the arrow end is pointing. The closest number to the arrow point is your ring size.
